UCR registration checklist
Every interstate carrier registers every year. It's quick and cheap for small fleets, and you get ticketed without it.
Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) is a yearly registration for companies operating in interstate commerce, including motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and leasing companies. The fee depends on how many commercial vehicles you operate.
Registration for 2027 opened October 1, 2026, and must be done before January 1, 2027.
