Questions carriers ask
Are these forms free?
Yes. Download, print and copy them as often as you like.
Do I have to use these exact forms?
No. Federal rules say what information to keep, not which form to use. Many carriers keep these records in their ELD or software instead.
How long do I keep DVIRs?
Carriers keep each DVIR, the repair certification and the driver's review for 3 months from the date the report was prepared.
