Questions carriers ask
How do I prove detention?
Check-in and check-out times from your ELD, gate logs or the BOL, plus the detention terms on your rate confirmation.
What is a broker bond claim?
Brokers must keep a $75,000 surety bond or trust fund on file with FMCSA. When a broker won't pay, a claim can be filed against it.
How old can an invoice be?
Send it anyway. Older invoices are harder to collect, so the sooner the better.
