Reefer dispatch

Temperature-controlled freight that pays more per mile, planned around tight appointments and long dock waits.

First load free · then a % of each load · no contract

What we handle for your reefer

  • Find reefer loads with the right temperature, commodity and appointment windows for your lanes
  • Confirm set point, continuous or cycle mode and pre-cool instructions before you accept
  • Push for detention and layover pay, which matter more in reefer because receivers can run late
  • Plan fuel for both the truck and the reefer unit, and the next load near your delivery
  • Keep temperature notes and paperwork together in case of a claim

Loads we look for

Reefer freight usually pays more per mile than dry van, but it comes with stricter rules. Shippers may check pulp temperature, require a clean washout and expect you to keep the unit running at the set point for the whole trip.

  • Fresh produce
  • Meat and poultry
  • Dairy and eggs
  • Frozen food
  • Beverages that can't freeze
  • Pharmaceutical and floral (with experience)

What brokers will ask for

Reefer brokers usually ask for more than van brokers:

  • Cargo insurance that includes reefer breakdown coverage
  • Auto liability of $1,000,000 and cargo of $100,000 or more
  • A reefer unit that can download temperature records
  • Food-grade, clean trailer and washout receipts when asked
  • ELD for tracking and hours of service

Pricing

A simple percentage of each load's gross, quoted for your truck and lanes before you start and charged only on loads we book. No contract, and your first load is free.

Questions carriers ask

Do you check the temperature instructions?

Yes. We confirm set point, mode and pre-cool instructions from the rate confirmation and shipper before you accept.

How do you handle long waits at receivers?

We document arrival and departure times and follow up with the broker for detention per the rate confirmation.

Do you dispatch frozen loads in winter too?

Yes. Reefer lanes change with the seasons, and we plan around produce seasons and winter freight.
