Questions carriers ask
Do I need IFTA and IRP?
If your truck has 2 axles and is over 26,000 lbs, has 3 or more axles, or runs a combination over 26,000 lbs, and you drive in more than one state, you generally need both.
Do box trucks need drug testing?
DOT drug and alcohol testing applies to drivers who need a CDL. Most 26-ft box trucks don't need a CDL, so testing usually doesn't apply.
Is this the same as safety audit prep?
No. This sets up your programs. Safety audit prep reviews your records before FMCSA does.
