Key takeaways

  • Published carrier plans run from free (Direct Freight, Trucker Path) to $339 a month (DAT One Office). Prices are as listed in October 2026.
  • Broker credit and days-to-pay data is not in every plan. On some boards it starts only at the second or third tier.
  • Lane rate data is usually in the higher tiers. Check which rate window (for example 7-day or 15-day) your plan shows.
  • No board is fraud-proof. Verify every new broker on FMCSA's record before you book.

Before you compare

Prices and features as listed on each company's website in October 2026. They change often, so check before you sign. Fleetorica is not affiliated with and is not paid by any company on this page.

A load board is a website and app where brokers and shippers post loads and carriers search for them. Most boards also let you post your truck so brokers can find you. The companies below are listed in alphabetical order. This page does not rank them. It shows only what each company publishes about its own plans.

When you read a pricing page, check three things: what the monthly price covers (one user or several), what is left out of the lower plans, and the fine print about fees, taxes and cancelling.

What each plan includes

123Loadboard. Standard $39, Premium $59 and Premium Plus $79 a month, each with a 10-day free trial. The page says "No contracts. No hidden fees." and that prices are valid for fleets of up to 10 trucks.

  • All plans: unlimited load search and truck posting, website and mobile app, load alerts, bidding and messaging, document capture.
  • Premium adds backhauls, a load density map, a profit calculator and credit scores with days-to-pay.
  • Premium Plus adds PC*Miler maps, routing and tolls, an IFTA mileage calculator, Rate Check lane rates, historical rate trends and a trip builder.

DAT One. Standard $59, Enhanced $149, Pro $169, Select $259 and Office $339 a month. DAT lists Standard for partial load owner-operators. The pricing page does not list contract or cancellation terms, so ask before you buy.

  • All plans: search and truck posting, the DAT One mobile app, load alarms, and broker credit data (average days to pay, credit scores and reviews).
  • Average spot lane rates for van, reefer and flatbed: 15-day in Enhanced, 7-day in Pro, and the most current average DAT offers in Select and Office. Office also shows shipper-to-carrier contract rates.
  • Pro and up add TriHaul routing and DAT Assurance payment support, which DAT lists as up to $250 credit (Pro), $500 (Select) or $1,000 (Office) if you don't get paid.

Direct Freight. A free plan, then Basic Carrier $39, Enhanced Carrier $49 and Professional Carrier $69 a month, or $390, $490 and $690 a year. Paid plans start with 15 days for $1.

  • Free plan: load search limited to 3 calls per day, truck posting, load alerts, the iOS and Android app, mileage and maps.
  • Enhanced adds credit scores, days to pay, full credit reports, a density map and a profit calculator.
  • Professional adds current and historical freight rates, high and low rate ranges, toll costs and multi-user management.
  • Terms of use: you can cancel any time by phone or email before your next billing date. There are no refunds for unused service; the account stays open until the paid period ends.

Trucker Path (TruckLoads). A free load board on the web and in the app. Two paid memberships: $29.99 a month ($239.88 billed yearly) and $49.99 a month ($399.99 billed yearly). The page shows these tiers under two sets of names (Starter and Professional, Essential and Preferred).

  • Lower tier: no ads, unlimited views, toll estimate, fuel surcharge calculator, driving time, backhaul, 30,000 AI credits a month.
  • Higher tier adds days to pay and credit score, 30-day and 1, 7 and 15-day rate checks, a load density report, capacity indicator and historical trend, with 60,000 AI credits.
  • Contract terms for the load board are not listed on that page.

Truckstop. Basic $42 (price per user, up to 3 users), Advanced $135 and Pro $159 a month. Heavy Haul Pro is $299 for up to 3 users. Dry van only plans are $35 and $129, and reefer only plans are $42 and $159, priced per block of 3 users. Prices exclude fees and taxes.

  • A non-refundable application fee ($42, or $35 for dry van) applies. If you're approved, it is credited toward your first month.
  • All plans: load search, private loads from approved brokers, truck posting, backhaul search, Canadian loads, broker factorability data and Truckstop TMS.
  • Advanced adds Broker Rating (which Truckstop says includes days-to-pay and credit history), Book It Now, FuelDesk and a voice assistant.
  • Pro adds Rate Insights, real-time live loads, load comparison, an RPM heat map and load alerts.
  • Loads shown match your operating authority. Intrastate-only carriers see intrastate loads.

Free options: broker load boards

Some large brokers run their own load boards for carriers that are set up with them. You see only that broker's freight, but there is no subscription. Two examples, in alphabetical order:

  • C.H. Robinson: its carrier page describes a free load board in Navisphere Carrier where you can make offers and book loads digitally, including short haul, flatbed and cross-border freight.
  • Uber Freight: its carrier page describes an app and a web portal for booking spot and contract loads with upfront rates, for dry van, flatbed, reefer and power-only.

You still need to pass each broker's carrier setup first. Have your carrier packet ready: authority, W-9, insurance certificate and bank details.

How to choose: questions to ask

  • What freight do you haul? If you run only dry van or reefer, an equipment-only plan may cost less. Hotshot, heavy haul and partial loads have their own needs.
  • Where do you run? Search your real lanes during the free trial or free plan. Count how many loads fit your truck, not the total on the board.
  • Which plan has days-to-pay data? If you don't factor, you need broker credit data. If you factor, your factoring company may already check credit for you.
  • Which rate data do you get? A 15-day average and a 7-day average can tell different stories in a fast market. Use rates to negotiate, not as a final price.
  • How many users? Some prices are per user. A small fleet with a dispatcher may need more than one login.
  • What are the terms? Ask about contracts, auto-renewal, refunds, application fees and taxes before you pay.
  • Does the cost pay off? Divide the monthly fee by the loads you book from that board. Compare that against your cost per mile.

How to avoid fraud on load boards

Scammers post fake loads, pose as real brokers and re-broker loads without permission. A paid plan does not stop that. Do this with every new broker:

  • Look up the MC or USDOT number on FMCSA's SAFER Company Snapshot, which is free. Check that the authority is active and the name matches.
  • Call the broker at the phone number on FMCSA's record or the broker's own website, not the number in the posting or email.
  • Check that the email domain on the rate confirmation matches the broker's real company.
  • Be careful with rates far above the market, rushed pickups and requests to change who you deal with after booking.
  • Don't pay any fee to get a load.

Why a dispatcher still uses more than one board

Brokers choose where they post. A load on one board may not be on another, and a broker's own portal may show freight that never reaches a public board. So a dispatcher often works with more than one source:

  • More options per lane. Two boards plus broker portals give more loads to compare for the same truck and day.
  • Better rate checks. Comparing rate data from two sources helps you spot a low offer.
  • Backhauls. The board that has your headhaul may be thin on the way home.
  • Repeat freight. The goal is to turn good load board brokers into regular customers and lanes, so you rely less on searching every day.

More boards also means more monthly fees. Track where your booked loads come from and drop the board that doesn't pay for itself.

Questions carriers ask

Which load board is free?

Direct Freight has a free plan with load search limited to 3 calls per day, and Trucker Path's TruckLoads has a free load board. Some brokers, such as C.H. Robinson, also run free load boards for carriers set up with them.

Which plans show broker days to pay?

As listed in October 2026: all DAT One carrier plans; 123Loadboard Premium and Premium Plus; Direct Freight Enhanced and Professional; Trucker Path's $49.99 tier; Truckstop Advanced and Pro (through Broker Rating).

Do load boards lock you into a contract?

123Loadboard says no contracts. Direct Freight's terms let you cancel before your next billing date, with no refunds for unused time. The other pricing pages don't list contract terms, so ask before you pay.

Does a load board protect me from fraud?

No. Always verify a new broker on FMCSA's record, call the phone number listed there, and check the rate confirmation before you dispatch the truck.
