Freight in Las Vegas
Much of the freight into Las Vegas feeds its resorts, convention center and growing population. The resorts are among the largest employers in the state: Nevada's 2026 employer list puts MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace at 5,000 to 9,999 workers each, and they all need food, beverages, linens and supplies every day. NDOT's freight plan says Utah and California are Nevada's top outside sources of freight by weight. The Las Vegas Convention Center, a 4.6-million-square-foot campus, brings in exhibit freight for shows like CES and the SEMA Show.
Warehouses are growing fast. The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance counted about 14.9 million square feet of industrial space under construction in the valley in spring 2024, with big new parks in North Las Vegas, Apex, Henderson and Jean. Crocs ships Hey Dude footwear from a building there of more than 1 million square feet, and Saddlecreek Logistics leases space at Vantage North. Union Pacific's Las Vegas intermodal facility typically handles paper products, autos and building materials, and the Marnell Air Cargo Center at Harry Reid International Airport has about 200,900 square feet of freight space.

Main routes and truck traffic
The highways most loads in and out of Las Vegas run on: I-15, I-11 / US 93, I-215, CC-215, US 95.
I-15 runs southwest past Primm and over Mountain Pass toward Barstow, the Inland Empire and Los Angeles, and northeast through Mesquite to St. George and Salt Lake City. I-11 and US 93 head southeast through Henderson and Boulder City toward Kingman and Phoenix. US 95 runs northwest toward Reno and south toward Searchlight and Needles. I-215 and CC-215 circle the valley. Most loads we book out of Las Vegas run on I-15.
NDOT's 2022 freight plan says most freight traffic in Southern Nevada runs on I-15, followed by US 93, the 215 beltway and US 95, and that new warehouses near neighborhoods have raised the need for designated truck parking. NDOT's I-15 South project widened about nine miles between Sloan Road and Warm Springs Road, with construction scheduled through December 2025. Southbound trucks pass the CHP Mountain Pass port of entry just past the California line.

What we book, by truck type
Dry van
Resort supplies, retail and e-commerce freight come into Las Vegas every day. We line up the reload before you unload, out of the new warehouses in North Las Vegas and Apex when we can.
Reefer
Food and beverages for the resorts keep reefers coming in on I-15. With summer highs over 100°F most days, we check temperatures and appointment times on every load.
Flatbed
Building materials for a fast-growing metro move on flatbeds, along with machinery for construction sites. We check securement, tarp needs and permits before we book.
Box truck
Trade show and convention freight, plus final-mile deliveries around the valley, suits 26-foot box trucks.
Power only
Preloaded trailers and drop-and-hook freight out of Las Vegas distribution centers work well for power only units.
How we dispatch here
- We line up the reload before you deliver, so you're not sitting empty in Las Vegas waiting for a load
- We plan deliveries near the Strip and the convention center around big shows: SEMA Show November 3–6, 2026, the National Finals Rodeo December 3–12, 2026, and CES January 6–9, 2027
- Southbound loads pass the CHP Mountain Pass port of entry on I-15, open 24/7, and the California agriculture station 7 miles south of Primm, so we make sure your paperwork and equipment are in order
- NDOT counts a shortage of more than 550 truck spaces in Clark County, so we plan your stop before you roll and never send you to park on city streets
- Interstate carriers only need their USDOT number and MC. Loads that start and end in Nevada need intrastate authority from the Nevada DMV
State rules, permits and taxes are on our Nevada dispatch page.
Pricing
a percentage of the load's gross, quoted for your truck and lanes, charged only on loads we book. No contract, and your first load is free.

Questions carriers ask
Are there loads out of Las Vegas?
Yes, and we plan the reload before you deliver. New distribution centers in North Las Vegas and Apex, the Union Pacific intermodal yard and trade show freight leaving the convention center give us outbound options. We search the major load boards and our broker contacts for loads that fit your lanes and minimum rate.
How many trucking companies are based in Las Vegas?
FMCSA's company census lists 2,996 active interstate trucking companies with a Las Vegas address as of October 2026. 2,721 of them haul for hire, and about seven in ten of those run one truck or less. North Las Vegas and Henderson carriers are counted separately.
Where can I park a truck overnight near Las Vegas?
NDOT's 2018 inventory counted 16 truck spaces at the Boulder City Welcome Station on US 93, 10 each way at the I-15 mile 96 truck parking near Logandale, and 30 at the Southern Nevada rest area on US 95 at Cal-Nev-Ari. In town, it counted about 956 spaces at 10 private truck stops along I-15 between Blue Diamond Road and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. NDOT's freight plan says Clark County is still short more than 550 spaces.
Is there a weigh station near Las Vegas?
Nevada has no permanent fixed inspection facilities; the Nevada Highway Patrol uses mobile teams and temporary sites. Southbound on I-15, CHP runs the Mountain Pass Joint Port of Entry just past the California line, open 24/7.
How hot does it get for reefer loads?
The National Weather Service says Las Vegas averages 78 days a year at 100°F or hotter, and about 9 at 110°F or hotter, mostly in June, July and August. We check reefer settings and appointment times on every load.

Big trade shows bring waves of exhibit freight: the SEMA Show runs November 3–6, 2026 and CES January 6–9, 2027, both at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The National Finals Rodeo runs December 3–12, 2026. Summer heat peaks from June to August.
Do I need Nevada authority?
Not if every load is interstate. If a load starts and ends in Nevada, you need intrastate authority from the Nevada DMV, and Nevada requires a USDOT number for trucks of 26,001 lb or more even inside the state.
